SMS Terms

What our text messages are, how to start them, and how to stop them. Reply STOP to any message and they end.

Effective date: 9 October 2026 · M&R Service, Inc.

Who sends these messages

Text messages come from M&R Service, Inc., trading as M&R Service, a plumbing, HVAC, electrical and restoration contractor serving the Four Corners from offices in Farmington, New Mexico and Durango, Colorado.

What we send

Two different things, and you can have one without the other.

  • Service messages. Appointment confirmations and reminders, “the technician is on the way” notices, estimate follow-ups, and messages about a job you have already asked us to do.
  • Marketing messages. Seasonal service promotions, maintenance reminders, Diamond Club membership offers, and post-service follow-ups. These are sent only to customers who have given marketing consent.

How often

Message frequency varies. It depends on the work you have booked and the time of year, and we do not send on a fixed schedule.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for text messages; your mobile carrier may, according to your plan.

How to opt in

There is more than one way, and all of them require you to act first:

  • Text us the keyword shown on our signage, vehicles, printed material or QR codes, from the mobile number you want messages on.
  • Tick the box on our service request form when you contact us through this website. It is never ticked for you.
  • Tell the office. Ask any member of staff when you book or when a technician is with you, and we will record it against your account.

Asking us for service does not subscribe you to marketing messages. Booking a job, filling in the form, or calling the office gets you service messages about that job and nothing else. Marketing consent is separate, optional, and never a condition of getting work done.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message. That ends messages to that number, and we will send one confirmation that it has stopped. You can also tell the office and we will remove you.

Stopping marketing messages does not stop us contacting you about a job you have actually booked — if you want that to stop as well, say so and we will.

To start again after stopping, reply START, or ask the office.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message and we will reply with how to reach us. Or contact us directly:

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and you should not rely on a text message for anything urgent — call us instead.

Your information

Mobile information and SMS consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Your mobile number and your consent are used by M&R Service to message you, and for nothing else. Our privacy policy covers the rest of what we collect and how we handle it.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will update the effective date above. If the change affects what we send you, we will tell you in a message before it takes effect.
