Some jobs are genuinely both trades, and those are the jobs where using two separate contractors goes wrong most often.
The jobs that are both
Electric water heaters, well pumps and pressure switches, boilers and their controls, HVAC equipment with dedicated circuits, and almost any flood where water reached outlets, a panel or hardwired equipment.
What goes wrong with two contractors
Each one scopes only their half, and the part in between belongs to nobody. You end up mediating between two companies who each believe the fault is on the other side of the line.
It is also slower: the second trade schedules after the first has finished, not alongside it.
One license, one visit, one invoice
M&R is licensed for plumbing, electrical, HVAC and restoration in both New Mexico and Colorado. The same dispatcher sends both technicians, and the work is warranted as one job.
